A pre-purchase building inspection from Mid Coast Property Inspections is a comprehensive inspection of a building for the purposes of identifying major defects. Our reports are stacked with photos and detail.
During a pre-purchase building inspection, we look for major building defects such as:
-
Leaking roofs or damaged roof plumbing
-
Structural cracking
-
Structural framing issues
-
Leakage from wet areas
-
Damp issues such as rising damp
-
Drainage or storm-water concerns
-
Excessive damage to building items
-
Excessive deterioration to building items
-
Potential safety hazards
-
During a pre-purchase building inspection, we inspect the following areas, where access is available:
-
The Roof Exterior
-
The Roof Interior
-
The Building Exterior
-
The Subfloor
-
The Building Interior
-
The Site up to 30m from the main dwelling
Purchasers should arrange a pre-purchase building inspection as soon as possible after making an offer. Receiving the reports early during the 5 day cooling off period should allow enough time to digest and act on the information contained in the report.
We strongly recommend that property buyers carry out a Combined Building and Pest Inspection to provide a full insight into a property. We are available to carry out Building and Pest Inspections throughout the Mid North Coast from Monday to Friday.
